a few days ago i made up a blog on this here website. the story goes: i had been having an epiphany for the past two months about the nature of my relationship to myself. these feelings are very personal and difficult to put into words and likely uninteresting to anyone reading this who isn't me. the result is that i decided to make a blog. i wanted to make it on dreamwidth in particular for these reasons:
- deliberate personal symmetry (a dreamwidth blog was the cause of a lot of these feelings)
- its nature as a remnant of the late 2000s internet infrastructure (and, as opposed to something like livejournal, a remnant that has deliberately retained the positive aspects of said infrastructure)
- it not being necessarily a social network, and so not shoving the social aspect at me constantly like twitter and tumblr do.
part of the plan i had was to kind of use my macbook as a blogging / music production machine, which would be nice and comfy. unfortunately for me an apple update i didn't ask for has made my laptop so buggy and prone to crashes that it is not very useful for much of anything. to borrow from a famous poet- yessir whatever.
